new siding.
Dang– the new siding is sure shinny. Sad part over 1/2 of it gets painted over. Started on it this AM. Sort of one of those things that you think never will happen when you are a do it yourself guy.. I bought it without holes punched because of the slide outs I put in. Turns out drilling the stainless is no big problem with correct bit. Just laid old siding over it -clamped and drill matching holes. It has a protective coating over polished side that is tough. Laser cut is way to go! Not custom quality..but good for a budget guy.. Bob, It feels good to see some accomplishment? I had to cut through my siding for a/c condensor venting. Not a big deal either. A little jagged but I put chrome door edge trim over the cut. Looks pretty good for a home builder. Send some pics! Mike

Now have it all cut and punched..Silflex and rivet next.. Then address the damage on rear cap from heat of fire. Not really much as I use to repair fiberglass boats. Probably a good 6 to 8 hrs work. Still think I’m going to stop at primer for now as I don’t like color of bus as it is..It is a hobby and keeps me active since I retired.. Never be finished but can move under it’s own power now! Have not road tested yet..really not concerned..If it has problems==I know the fool first hand that built it!! When I hauled the tires home a couple weeks ago that was a sign of being on final approach. I won’t even tell you how nice it is to have a friend in the tire business.. My old tires will live out their lives on Tri Axles..The wife is getting excited now–as she said guess we need to grout the shower walls/ her project..Credit due–she is a hard worker on the interior. Any one homebuilding or remodeling should post their efforts..Gives the rest of us hope.. Plus gain ideas! Bob

700! installed in new siding. Polished 3.5 cents each from local supplier. Not a hand install job.. Also back cap is in primer now. Posted in another thread on headlight mod. All parts here now–When it works and I am happy will post part # and sources. Cibie units. Just sort of a update. Bob
