  • New Map – RV Parks – Places to Eat – Repair Shops

Posted by Archived on August 14, 2014 at 10:17 pm

We gave our web guy the go ahead to start working on the map we discussed on the Parking thread. This will be a great tool for members to use and we’ll finally have a trusted source for campgrounds that actually fit the bus, places to eat and repair facilities. The information will be member furnished and will not be viewed by the public. We are working through the process now and will keep you posted.

So, stand by, the map is coming.

I guess the dues are going to go up again. Don’t know how you guys do it because nothing is free. I gained a lot of knowledge off this site and if I can help, would be glad to.

These guys put their heart and soul into this website just for the likes of us !! There really should be dues… but since there are no dues maybe we should all make a small donation of appreciation every once in awhile… no set amount just what the heart moves us to do & keep it all private!

    Just a thought?

    Cheers, Diane

maybe Tom & Jon could setup a mailbox / address where members who want to contribute a donation to the site could do so. This site is certainly a valuable resource to all its members.

I think a lot of members would appreciate being able to make a financial contribution to this site.

The amount of work done to create and support this site, and the continued enhancements to its content and programs for members is much appreciated.

No donations. We should pay you guys because we are all having fun, and as owners ourselves we could never get some of the benefits like the discounts if it wasn’t for all of us working together.

    I would accept a small give however, like a 2016 X3, OTR 2 slides………………..

Small???? Do they still make the 40 footer?? That may rule out your “small” gift.

I keep hearing about people on this forum wanting to pay dues. Give to charity if you got money to spare. Jon and Tom do a great job and the sponsors pay well for the ability to advertize on this site.

May I suggest one more information layer? Sightseeing and attractions. After all, our buses are about travel and doing or seeing things. Thos POI pins would be created by people who have been there and done that (and possibly, bought the t-shirt, too).

I think we will be having multiple maps or layers or somehow allow a wide range of pins for locations we all need to know about. I don’t think we are limiting what can be “pinned”. It is in our web guru’s hands.
