So we were spoiled with out California King Euro Pillow top mattress we had in the house. We have been “living” with the mattress that came with the Liberty. Seems to be a custom foam mattress that Liberty gets made up in Chicago area.

We went down to the Original Mattress Factory and ordered a custom pillow top mattress to match as close as we could what we had in the house. We gave them the dimensions, as well as templates of the rounded corners and let them know the mattress needed to bend to allow access to the area under the bed.

They did a great job and had the bed ready for us in a week. Super comfortable and the rounded corners were perfect fit. Price was great for a custom made, what we wanted mattress. Even cut the coil spring frame where we needed the bend to happen to lift the bed for storage (they have a technical name for that modification).

If you want to replace your foam mattress with a nice coil spring, go check out The Original Mattress Factory. They make all their mattresses in house at their local factories. We got our house mattress in Marietta GA and the coach mattress in Winter Park FL. THey have locations in the south east, central states.

Thanks Charles, we’ve been having the same thoughts about a new mattress.

We had the mattress replaced while our coach while being worked on at Marathon. Custom made fitting perfect.

Ours was made to fit under the window ledge, angled slightly inward as moves towards center of bus, radius corners.

We are very pleased having a custom mattress designed for the bed frame and location.

I think there is a typo in Tom’s post. It says ‘mattress’ but I’m sure it should say ‘bus’.

Actually as it turns out Tom has been trading mattresses all these years. With each new mattress comes a coach.

The mattress that was in our coach when we bought it was a tempurpedic, very firm and we love it, maybe the original owner replaced it? maybe all Libertys come with them I do not know, but sure do like it , Gary

Your comment above on the incorrect word used in Truk’s post is priceless.

    Good one….. Andy

We love the Temperpedic that the Liberty came with. Planning to duplicate at home.
