New AquaAir unit installed and working
First AquaAir unit was installed in my coach today. It is a true drop in, used existing SMX controls, original Cruisair control board and original evaporator. Old unit was removed, lines flushed, new unit installed, system pressure checked for leaks, system vacuumed down, freon installed, and unit started up. Start Amps were around 16-17 (new units come with easy start from factory). Run Amps were around 13-14. Ran in heat mode for 15 minutes and that cheeked out OK too.

P.S. What a relief to know we now all have a viable replacement unit available.

I want to replace mine, tired of fixing it.
More tired of trying to find someone to fix it.
I have asked a local supplier a month ago to install a basement unit (Coleman?) but not a word even though I call every week so tired of trying to find one too.

You don’t have any information as to what you coach is. I am going to assume it’s a Featherlite. If that’s the case Featherlite can rebuild the HVAC (basement) unit. Fair warning, it’s not cheap.

Who did the work? And of course all of us will be curious of parts and labor costs if you care to share.

Featherlite did the installation. Being I was the one that brought the idea to AquaAir and assisted in promoting it, plus being the guinea pig for the new unit. I was comp the unit/install.
Call them, I think they are pricing it at $8,000 with a one year warranty.
AquaAir is also building a service network throughout the USA

Thinking about buying a Prevost? Make sure it has roof airs! I can replace all 3 of ours for about $7-8000 and they should be good for 10-20 years depending upon your usage. Just replaced one about a year ago. Called a local Vegas dealer, came to our site the same day, ordered the unit which took 3 days, installed and done. Try that with ANY cruisair (or aqua-air) unit anywhere in the US and see how it goes. I am not rambling here, our last coach had 3 cruisairs and it was truly the bane of our existence as full timers.

Just bought (4) roof top 15,000 btu units heat pumps (2) new thermostats removing the old units & installed out the door with tax labor everything $91870 glad they wasn’t crusiair would have to sell the farm. Crusiair pure junk, these are a little noisier but at least I don’t have to take a water hose and wet down the asphalt under the bus to stop high head pressure. They will cool. I have owned 4 different buses with crusiair 2 liberty’s 1 marathon 1 silver eagle and 4 more with roof tops so I am not a newbie, I can tell you stories about crusiair
