We bought our first coach in August and I don’t think a day goes by when one or both of us doesn’t say, “this is great! Can you believe it’s ours?” Or something to that effect.

We couldn’t be happier and I am sure you will feel the same way. It’s an amazing build that you will appreciate more as you get to know it.

Congratulations guys. You are really going to enjoy the coach. One thing you will not have to worry about is answers to your questions. Obviously you have Liberty standing behind it, available to help you in any way they can. But there are a lot of us on this forum that have or have had Liberty coaches of your vintage that can answer almost any questions you might have.

Don’t be afraid to ask questions because we know how difficult it is to learn everything in a few days, or how difficult it is to retain what you just learned when there are so many details coming at you.

Here are a couple of things that crop up often that several of us had to learn……..If you don’t have power to the forward or rear outlets but the switches are on in the electrical panel, look for the GFCI receptacle in the bathroom (on most coaches) and under the microwave. And if you cannot raise or lower the shades in the front, check for power to the forward outlets. They are 120 Volt powered shades.

There are a few other simple things to learn that are unique to your coach, but for the most part everything is easy to understand and operate.

Thanks everyone. We are on night two here in Dallas. My wife came out a couple days after I got here, had the coach at prevost and spent 1.5 days going through it with the dealer (and had actually completed the deal ). She’s loving it and we are extremely excited for our futur adventures with it.

Can’t wait for the event in Tampa. Need to get a place to stay, lazy days has been booked for a while now, so looking for other options.

So two nights in the coach and I was able to get over my aversion to black water. I had a travel trailer for 9 years and had a very strict rule of no number 2’s in the trailer. Grey water, no problem, just no black… with the very enclosed and incorporated system on the Liberty (one holding tank) it’s pretty simple. My wife is very happy with this, she wasn’t about to trek across the park to use the bathhouse when we have such a nice coach.

The one lesson I learned is that when your holding tank is full, the water pump has a safety over ride to turn off. Guess the dealer (who had used it a couple times while in their care) didn’t drain the holding tank from his last outing. Was wondering why the pump kept erring and shutting down. Dumped holding tank and haven’t had an issue since. Of course this means I need to figure out why the sentry monitor isn’t showing proper level of holding tank now but I guess I could have worse issues for a new to me coach that is 15 years old.

Heading over to Prevost Texas to get the one issue found during DMI and open my credit account with them…

If an overful holding tank on a Liberty somehow shuts off power to the water pump yours has a feature I never knew existed or someone modified yours to have such a feature.

If either of the tank monitors is not reading accurately there is an easy procedure to calibrate the tank level. The process as described by Headhunter calls for filling the tank(s), but that takes a lot of water and a long time so I use a tube the same height as the holding tank capped at one end (such as a PVC pipe) and I fill it as directed with the tube that extends into the holding tank in the tube. Usually the problem is either something blocking the tube, or the fitting at the top going into the black box is leaking air.

Mine doesn’t have the auto shut off for the water pump either, didn’t know that existed, so see, we just learned something. I know when my holding tank shows full, the pump still runs.

The tank monitors are easy to adjust and if you don’t have the manual, let me know, my vintage is probably the same as yours.

Don’t know if it will work with fancy toilets. When sensors got off was from waste collecting on them. we dumped Ice cubes down toilet— in half full tanks and run them to our next stop before dumping. Lots of times this would disloge culprite and ice would melt. FWIW Bob Don’t do this with fancy macerator type toilets!!
