Saw a guy in a camp ground making an extended project out of this.

Not sure but I think he eventually found that 3M has a product for the removal.

I watched 3 men come to Prevost in Nashville and work all day to remove one on the front of an XL. All day!!

Good luck. 3M does make removers for that, try an automotive paint supply store, no a parts store.

I’d also be interested in an easier way to remove the 3M, let us know what you find out.

I removed that plastic stuff off the front of our Royale. I worked at it for a hour or a little more a day for a couple of weeks.

I used a hair dryer and a plastic scraper from Pat’s kitchen. I tried a heat gun and it melted the plastic which made it very difficult to remove. I had some of the adhesive stuck after removing the flim. I used an adhesive remover I got at a body shop supply store. It was about $25 for a quart spray bottle, but was worth it. It worked great. I tried it on the flim and it did not soften the flim.

It was a job but the front of the coach looks good once again.

Now to chase air leaks, reglue a the door window and more.

while at Liberty Coach in Florida, a few of us bored guys sat and watched a guy from “dazeling detail” remove the 3M shield. He used a heat gun and a plastic scraper ( like you would use for body filler) then cleaned the adhesive off with acetone. It took him about 7 hours to remove and about 4 hours to replace with new 3m film. set the coach owner back about $800…..looked nice though.

Ed & I removed the film off of ours, also. Positioned the bus where the front was facing the hot sun all day and then in the afternoons we would start scrapeing. Took several days to do it, but got it done and it looks like new.

I know that it is time consuming but hang in there! It is worth it in the long run. Our empathy to you with the work!
