Need Tires
Posted by Bill on August 22, 2021 at 3:10 pmHey guys long story but I need 4 new XZA 2 Energy 315/80 R22.5
Last time I ordered them through Dupree with the discount. Is that the best option.
I have a second shift appt with Prevost in Nashville tomorrow I am guessing they will have the tires in stock but it will likely be the most expensive option…
Any thoughts appreciated.

Prevost will be more expensive, but how quick do you need them? If right away and you will be there, it may be worth it.

Push the blue box button here on the forum for the P C Michelin Advantage Program.

FMCA’s tire program saved me $400 on 4 drive tires less the $50 membership fee.
These guys treated me quite well in by 8:30 out before noon.

Bill,
How did it go with Nashville Prevost?
I recall that on our visit last year they price matched the Michelin discount for an owner we met. We were on a schedule; otherwise we might have purchased a new set as well.
Also, has the Michelin Advantage price gone up significantly in recent months? I remember talk of a price increase in July.
Thanks!

Bob,
I had to reschedule for next week. I will be there on Tuesday for a first shift Appt. They quoted me around $700 per tire plus 1,000 for labor which seemed high but they were the only place I could find that had them. Date code of june 21.
I will ask them about matching the advantage price. I followed registered my credit card with PC account number but didn’t get as far as getting a price as I couldn’t find a local dealer that had them. Several had them on BO for a Month or more.
I will let you know how it goes.

Bill,
The PC Advantage Plan price for 315/80R22.5 XZA2 part number 76184 is 671.95 plus FET 52.83 for a total of 724.78. Hope that helps you..

When Prevost announced their “competitive” tire pricing, they are basically selling the razor at cost and making the money on the blades (install). They also state the “special price” is for installed only, no cash and carry. But, if they have them and no one else does…….

Confirmed my price from Prevost will be $700.87 plus install

In late April of this year I paid $566 at Perfect Circle in Waldo WI (near Sheboygan) to install eight (8) brand new Michelins I bought through a buying program. This included $65 to clean out the “goop” balancing stuff that had been previously installed in the tires and new Equal beads in all eight tires.

Has anyone used Hankook al22 tires ? My Michelin AXA2 tires are approaching 7 years old. I am getting the bus ready for our winter trip south , When checking tire pressures I noticed 1 tire side wall cracked up real bad in one spot . I purchased all new tires 12.19.14 . I called the store where i purchased them from and talked about the warranty . I was told i would have to purchase a new one and leave the old one . I then would have to wait until the factory rep look at the tire to determine if the would be any type of warranty . These tires only have about 40k on them … so i went looking for some new AXA2 tires and none are to be had . check for BFG.. GOODYEAR… no luck .. but i did find 2 HANKOOK tires so i will be having those installed on friday.. doing another small shake down trip .. i did find some IRONMAN tires which i never heard of … so i went with the Hankooks .. let me know what you folks think of those tires. The prices is 601 plus 53 FET plus 25 for the balance each
