Napa Card Application Changes
We have been notified by AITA that effective December 31, 2017, printed card applications will no longer be available.
As of December 31, 2017 we will no longer be printing cards. All of the sign up links will be taken down as well. We will have a work around for those that do not have a smart phone via an email paper version of the card, but that will be on a case by case situation and will have to be done via calling our office.
To apply for the Napa Discount Card, you will need to download the following App: AITA
This is way better than carrying a card around, I’m sure Jon will agree.

The app process was easy, be sure to use the company selection not individual and enter Prevost Community using your address and phone number. It will ask how you heard about AITA and a drop down list will include Prevost Community.
After you download the App, the registration form will look like this:

Put in aita only. do not add napa or anything else. If you do it will not come up.

Definitely easy but interestingly enough, my new digital card expired one-year earlier than my plastic card.

The entire world is working against me, trying to force me into obtaining a smart phone. This is just typical of the abuse I suffer for failing to become one of the lemmings.
Just for everyone to fully appreciate my resolve keep in mind I am a lefty in a right handed world and my left handedness is so deeply ingrained when I broke my left wrist (twice) I almost could not function. For those of you who think it is a trifling issue to live in a right handed world try zipping up or using your fly with your left hand. That will illustrate how avoiding a smart phone is easy compared to the abuse I already suffer as a minority lefty.

As a “lefty” I used my iPhone just fine. Having phone laying horizontal, with push round button on the left, I use my left thumb print to open phone.

Bet you had a heck of a time flying with many instruments on the right side of panel. If you had an IPad with ForeFlight mounted on yoke it can be a little easier. But than you would have one of those smart things.
Wait till we have a large magnetic disturbance and see what everyone thinks of all the electronic devices.

My plane was fairly well loaded with steam gauges. It had a lot of those little round things and I felt left out because nothing would display the little magenta line pilots were beginning to follow. The right panel was fully loaded also, but I can say for certain because of experience my peripheral vision never let me down. On more than one occasion I would watch the vacuum gauge or the ammeter needles moving to the left as the vacuum or electrical systems started to fail.
I can also say when I flew with guys that had the large nav displays in front of them, despite having a lot of information around the periphery of the main display their scans sucked. They also lost positional awareness and became dependent on the display to keep them oriented and when they needed to interpret needles they were well behind the plane.
Being a lefty however had little to do with flying, but the transition from planes with a stick and a LH side throttle to planes with a yoke and a throttle in the center of the panel was a hard transition for me.
And yet as i use my computer I always use my mouse with my right hand.

I had downloaded the app earlier. Once AITA helped me remember my login info, I am good till 10/18/2018.

Yep the process is just as slick as can be other than the location feature doesn’t seem to work. Maybe because I put in some information in with my left hand. You know, just to emulate our personal hero Jon!
