from setting un used and un loved. Been 17 months since last trip.. developed rusty brakes rotor. simple moving fixed that.. now it seems that air system is getting sort of bound up from lack of use. Mike last thread made a recent problem about air system developing rare symptoms;actually made me think what has changed since she(the bus) last was active.. answer just developed new problems from non-use. I was ready to tear into all these valves again–then I decided maybe all the bus needs is use.. I have seen strange systems problems clear up after use.. stuck or dragging norgrens are pilot valves get stiff with weather change and don’t quiet close completly.. the lube on the o-ring/spools gets stiff after sitting so long.. sort of like me.. sorry for the rambling. I think before I spend any more time chasing ghost air leaks etc —it just might require a little excerise to get everything moving as it should again..lots of o-rings and valves can become stiff just like us. a little excerise can limber them us…. Not science but…FWIW

Amen to that Robert! My stiffness has gotten worse as well! Good hear from you. We are full timers in the bus now. New tires, etc. have been taking her on short trips and loving it. I figure drive it till it breaks then fix it. Got to sheet metal over my windows. Paint is peeling. LOL. What did you use? Happy New Year!

used 20 ga cold roll steel.. It seams to hold pain better and doesn’t flex as much with temp changes. Tack welded from inside top first then let weight of sheet and a little more help formed itself to frame work. Live the life!!! PC has given us a thread area that helps us do it yourself guys a forum while learning from the pro owners and seeing what is available to do.

I agree! To get to the finish line we can all learn from each other. I used 29 gauge in 3 small panels and it warps up and moves around a lot. Can I buy 1 full sheet of 20 gauge that will cover 3 windows? I’m leaving the windows in to reduce outside noise. I will have to Rivet the metal, I plan on using that (Dum Dum) putty strip stuff they use on RV’s to seal it. Thanks!

4×10 or 5ft x10 ft sheets. fit rite up under drip rail top and under side trim at stainless break. Would have to measure again as to 4 or 5 ft wide. 2nd alternative is leave in and paint inside glass silver. then insulate and finish inside.. from outside you will not be alble to tell anything behind glass. Also glass will reflect more radiant heat than you would imagine.. Done both ways. Like both.. results near same.

Bus Covid. Yeah, went to get things going after new tires and batteries last December and found a few after Lock Down. Aqua Hot didn’t fire, Generator kicks off/drops juice after 20 or 30 minutes and a couple other minor things. Will get it up and going as it’s time for its Yearly Level 3 check up with Prevost Houston. The moral is, Don’t let it sit for a year and expect everything to fire up without help. Well I did fire it up and drove 50 miles in July to get it Texas Inspected. Think I’ll give it away and buy a pop up camper. Harry you need another one.
