    Don,

Im not familiar with Merry Meadow, but I am with TGO. Maybe Andre will jump in, he lives there. Seems that in the past bikes were OK, but then a few lots got rented out to a roudy bunch during Bike Week and after that, it all fell apart. If you own a house in the new section, bikes are OK, but not for the rest of the park.

I’m sure there is a bunch of politics involved that I know nothing about, but a few bad bikers ruined it for everyone else and I’m a biker. It’s to bad, TGO is a great place, but as you pointed out, not biker friendly.

There are a LOT of motorcycles at TGO. But there are also a lot of restrictions. As Tom mentioned, a long time ago there was some problem during bike week that caused an up roar among the owners here. That happened way before my arrival here, so I do not have all the facts to pass on.

The newest section that is open allows motorcylces to be used. All the older sections allow motorcyles to be in your garage but to ride them you have to move them by trailer to the “motorcylce staging area” or what they call the industrial area, then you can ride it out the park. Most owners have a little trailer to use behind their golf cart that pulls the bike with the front wheel off the ground. Now it is much more complicated then it sounds. Things like Bergman 650 scooter, (step thru frames) are allowed.

If you show up at the gate on a motorcyle tell the guard you are going to “Eagles Pride RV Repair” to schedule a repair. That will get you past the gate. Follow the signs to “Eagles Pride” and park. Call me an I will give you the 10 cent tour. This really is a nice place to live, but having a motorcylce does require some comprimises.

Send me an email with contact info if you want more info.
