For those of you that have see our dogs (Puli – Hungarian herding dogs), Glen will be showing Blu at the Westminster Dog Show today. TV coverage on NatGeo and FS1.

Seems I caught all they’re going to show of that breed. Ring #9 is where they were showing; I recognized your dog by the handler but the filming cut away before the best of breed was shown. Did he win the breed?

No joy, Linda, but we knew that. A long friendship was involved with the best of breed choice. That’s the way it works. The actual top dog from 2017 did not even bother to enter.
We were happy to be awarded “Select” which in NASCAR terms is first loser…

Les, as the lottery offices say, “You have to be in it to win it!”
Several years ago a young engineer asked me if I thought he was qualified for a position that had just opened. I told him a couple of things:
Its not my opinion that matters, its what your opinion is that matters.
If you don’t toss your hat into the ring I guarantee no one can pull it out of the ring.
He filled out the application, sent it in, and was selected for the job. I knew he could do the work and was qualified. I did not tell him that as he needed to assess his abilities and make his own decision. The job included lots of decision making, and recommendations to higher management. He just recently retired on an incentive bonus program and now works with Stantec Consultants.
So Les, be happy that you took the initiative to place your dog in the show. Who knows, do it again next year and the outcome could be in your favor.
