  • Mobile Hotspot – T-Mobile

Posted by Pat & Jan on October 27, 2020 at 8:25 am

I understand T-Mobile has an unlimited data HOTSPOT plan for $49.95 a month thru FMCA. When not using, you can put on standby and pay just $13.95 a month. Is anyone using this plan and are you pleased with the unlimited Internet connection since they have merged with Sprint? The hotspot device is rented from FMCA for a one time fee of $40 and is on a month to month basis – you can cancel at any time without penalty.

Also, I have been told that Verizon also owns Visible and the Visible cell phone plans use the same EXACT Verizon cell towers. The unlimited plans cost from $25 a month (each) for 4 lines and up to $35 a month (each) for 2 lines. Is anyone now using this service and happy with the plan?

I am using the FMCA Sprint/T-Mobile plan and pleased so far. Unlimited data, no throttling. The only issue I had was getting it activated, but FMCA tech support solved the problem. I no longer use my satellite system. Currently streaming with Amazon Firesticks and a Fire Cube. FWIW, I don’t recommend the FMCA Verizon plan if you use more than 25 GB per month.

    Pat,

I’ve read on other sites the FMCA program gets throttled, but I have no actual experience with it. I have AT&T Mobile Internet, 100 gig a month for 790.

Met a couple at Wolf Creek Run, Pagosa Springs, this past June who stated zero throttling using the Sprint / T-Mobile hotspot from FMCA. They added they use approximately 250 gigs per month.
