Misty River Cabins and RV Resort, Maryville TN
Had to spend some time this past weekend/week up near Maryville/Knoxville TN. Had to be close to I75/I40/I140 south of Knoxville.
Since we were needing to be there for 5 days or so, we figured we would bring the coach up and not have to pay hotel costs.
Found Misty River Cabins & RV Resort just outside Maryville on Hwy 321. Park is right on the river, very relaxing and some amazing views of the Smokey Mountains. About 2 miles away from Foothill Parkway and very close to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg (Think Las Vegas in the Smokies minus the gambling).
Oh and your only 45 minutes from East Tennessee Luxury Coach. So if you want to place to stay at on other end of visting Jeff, this is a good option.
Level sites with full hookups. Great for dogs with lots of fields to walk your pooch and river to play in. Roads and spots are gravel, but they keep the gravel up, which keeps the dust down. Nicely spaced spots so your not on top of each other and has a nice pool as well as clean laundry room and very clean bath house.
You can spend the afternoons driving the foothill parkway, Blue Ridge Parkway, Hwy 441 and Hwy 129 (for those motorcycle riders, this is the infamous Tail of the Dragon). And this time of year the colors are just coming in. We have been able to see them start for the past three weeks (been up in this area off and on, mostly on now for three weeks) and this past weekend they are really starting to go off. Will be a great fall, if you are into that kind of thing.
For all those visting Jeff (he mentioned he had a good number of coaches coming in yesterday as we stopped by on our way out of town), go out and adventure, you wont be disappointed. Oh and if you are real brave, you can go check out Dolly Parton’s personal Prevost at DollyWood in Pigeon Forge (we couldn’t handle the crowds so skipped it).

agree. It’s usually where we stay when we go to the Smokey mountains. We ride a motorcycle and really like the Townsend area.
Good riding in all directions. We have occasionally stayed at Treemount. It’s a
beautiful campground with lots of trees, but it’s tight, even with a 40 footer
and a lot of the campsites are not very level.Ken
