Mississippi river bridge closed, I-40
Just reading the Bridge from Arkansas to Tenn , has a cracked beam, closed till further notice.

My wife drove from Grand Prairie, TX to Nashville in a car a few days ago VIA I-40 and the detour was a mess. Took her about 2.5 hours longer than normal to navigate the carnage.
I’m sitting at Marathon in Grand Prairie now and leaving for Nashville in a few days. Thinking I’ll go out I-20 instead and turn North at Birmingham.

you might want to look at crossing in Dyersburg and run SE back down to 40.

Guys, it is a mess at the bridge! I need to go over the old bridge early next week to pick up my car being serviced in West Memphis, AR.
The ‘new’ bridge was fine when I went over it 2 weeks ago! 🙂
The old bridge has two lanes on each side whereas the new bridge has 3 on each side….. it certainly is a bottleneck!
