Military FamCamp
Every so often, I see listings for military campgrounds and marinas.
Of course, they always are in the best of places …
Unfortunately, being an alien from the planet Germany, I can not make reservations in these parks / marinas.
I know of one particular marina in Maine, which is in a premier location and … almost always half empty.
I am curious to hear what members know of and think about such “reserved” places.

The majority of my service was in Germany and I used the heck out of the military-only facilities. Spent our honeymoon at the facilities in Chiemsee and Wannsee.
As broke 20 year olds these campgrounds, lodges and ski slopes were wonderful- along with the outdoor equipment rentals.
