  • Microphor toilet

as I noted in a previous post, I recently rebuilt parts on our microphor LF 220 electric. Sue at Mulaney was awesome to deal with. After making some mistakes (I broke the brass Jbolts) Sue was able to get me back on track. I have everything installed and hooked up. Water is working, flapper is doing its flapping and we have no leaks. The only problem is the flapper seal.

Sue stated it may take a few days for the seal to compress enough to get complete water tight seal. Unfortunately it’s been 8 days and we still have a seal that quickly alllows the water to drain out of the bowl. Quickly is defined, in my case, as draining so quick it won’t build up at all in the bowl.

So my problem is: do I take the tank out again and try to adjust the tension on the flapper adjustment? Do I try to add more silicone to the gasket and base of the bowl?

What have the members of this forum done in this maintenance problem?
