Microphor flapper seal
Well, seems the toilet bowl won’t hold water and the likely culprit is the rubber seal (which we just replaced last summer, seems like it should have lasted longer). And of course it’s Friday with chances of ordering a replacement slim to none, especially since Mullaney & Associates is non-responsive via phone or e-mail. Does anyone know of a different source for the seal? Better yet, has anyone found a substitute seal that works and is more readily available? Linda

you are stuck with Sue. She is the only parts distributor in the US.
go to lowes and get some silicone lubricant. Wet a paper towel with the lube and rub in it he seal. It may take a day or so for it become pliable enough but it will seal again provided the tension is strong enough.
you may need to pull the power half way thru a flush cycle to stop the flapper long enough to lube the seal.

Thanks Joe. A more methodical search turned up a spare seal we ordered last year. It’s different from the old seal but if all goes well… Meanwhile, Ann from Mullaney has responded with helpful advice and descriptions. Linda

We experienced the same problem with ours. I spent a lot of time cleaning, lubing, replacing the seal
and trying to adjust the tension. I followed the advice that I was given by Peter Campbell, and replaced
our toilet with a Tecma Silence Plus. One of our best improvements to the coach to date.

John, that looks like a mighty fine toilet, but I haven’t given up yet on the gasket/seal replacement. Did you have any problem lining up the new toilet with the hole in the floor?

As with the replacement of anything, nothing is an exact fit it seems. The footprint of the Tecma Silence plus
is smaller than our original. A small patch will be needed in the behind the toilet. We had our’s put in at Parliment.
Jeff was going to do it for us, but our’s stopped working while we were in Florida. Not a job for the average do-it
yourselfer. If you are considering one, preorder in advance and have it shipped to whereever you are going to
have the work done. Jeff had to get three or four before he got one that hadn’t broken during shipping. It is
worth it in our opinion.

The best i’ve found that lasts for a long time is magic lube. If home depot dose not carry it most any pool supply will have it. It’s a silocone lube used on pool connections for rubber O rings. Works great!

Good luck with your Microphor, I have one and I would put it in the same class of products as my infamous ZippDee AutoAwn !!!!!!!!
