Metal Building + Doors = garage remote don’t work
Any ideas on how to get a garage remote to work from outside i.e. while driving up to a metal building with metal doors?
From inside the same remote works from any corner, middle, etc of the building. Assuming this is Faraday cage effect much like cell phone & WiFi don’t work either from inside.
Doors & Listmaster openers installed by Overhead Door – they tell me no option. Would think an external antenna is an option. Reading through the LiftMaster install manual they reference an 86LMT Antenna kit that looks like coax wire with an antenna screwed on. Can’t be that simple, can it?

We installed Liftmaster jackshaft wi-fi openers and use with MyQ App. Works fine every time connected to T-Mobile 5G Internet Gateway inside building.

The external antenna is hat you need we are a liftmater dealer since 1982
