Marathon will offer you full support on your bus. If the tech link system works then you should be fine. I have been told by Marathon to call as much as you want we are here to help you. Another thing is attending there rallyies as there tech support people are there one on one to help you.

It’s a bus and going down the highway some shake rattle and roll happens.

I have never regreted the purchase of my Marathon. Support has exceded my expectations.

What conversion year model are you looking at? I have heard the later model Techlink is a little more fussy than say that of the 90’s. We own a 2000 model conversion and I have had no problems with mine. Had to re-boot it one time, but that is it over the past 2.5 years and 42,000 miles.

It is a 2002 model and the Crestron remote is not working it is a repo from John Deere Credit sold as is (at a buy) less than 20,000 miles

    Thanks

If they have the audio-video switch turned off at the electrical box, Crestron is off.

Anyone have experience with having to re-boot Techlink often…like couple times a day? Are thier firmware updates available for Techlink (will ask Marathon, but wanted to see if anyone else had issues)

    Couple of things to check;

Make sure the Crestron in the salon is connected underneath showing both red and green lights. When the base is moved around sometimes the connection pulls out slightly.

Based on your bus age check to see the battery age of both Crestrons.

On our former ’05 Marathon our intermite problems were resolved by replacing the battery in the bedroom Crestron.

The Tecklink has a mind of its own, if you have the video switch pressed “on” at dash location… techlink will often drop the image on the dash screen.

Pressing techlink functions start a micro delay before the function .If you don’t wait for the action and give it another command the tecklink locks.

This might be why you’re rebooting so often. Just trying to help.

Al, no Crestron in my bus that I am aware of, no mention on the build sheet either.

Got some good info into hooking up to the PC and will investigate more.

what are you calling “rebooting”. Are you powering down the whole house part of the bus?

Well I did that few days ago when I was working on the charging issue, and that will re-boot the techlink, but last 2 days just going under the bed and powering on/off the pc and network adapter.

Been fine for over 24 hours, so leaving it until I have more time to go in and hook up a keyboard, mouse and monitor and check the configuration.

CO bus you can email me if you like rc51parts AT gmail
