I’ve heard that it’s illegal to have the dump switches at the dash, but have never seen the law that prohbits them. Mine can be dumped from the driver’s seat.

Last we heard from Colt, he was going to call Marathon to get some help.

Well, I talked to the infamous “Leon” at Marathon yesterday. What a nice, knowledgable guy! For the benefit of Marathon owners, here is what I learned:

On most H-3’s, Marathon installed the box containing the water bay “nodes” and the related electrical stuff on the ceiling in Bay 2, driver’s side. However, locations vary.

On newer coaches, like Bernie’s, Marathon installed the box under the bed.

Since my box was not in Bay #2, and we had looked everywhere in the bays, Leon reviewed my schematics. He told me that the box was located in the walk in closet,

“But Mr. Leon, we have already removed a shelf tower and two access panels in the closet. There’s lots of electrical stuff in there, but no water bay “nodes.”

“Did you check beneath/behind the drawer bank?”

I had to remove two drawers, but there it was, the “brass colored” box containing the water bay relays and fuses, mounted on the wall behind the drawer bank. I replaced the 7.5 amp fuse, and rejoiced in the restoration of power to my actuator valves.

Thank you to all for the suggestions and moral support.

Now, I must address Roy’s sarcastic comment. It’s a real long story, but yes, I turned a relatively minor project into a major diagnostic demolition of my bus which consumed a lot of time. During the demolition process, I learned a lot, discovered the location of additional serviceable electrical equipment, and got to see some of the shoddy work performed by my service provider, who I think just became my former service provider. I also found a non-functional strand of rope light in my water bay, which I plan to replace with an LED strip.So, I have decided to describe the project as “thorough,” “intense,” and “of satisfying duration.”

Now I must return to re-assembling my bus!

I must express my sincere, deepest thanks and appreciation to Tom. As we all know, Tom is a fine person, worthy of Marathon ownership, and more importantly, worthy of cloning.

Whenever I wonder “What would Jesus do?,” I ask Tom.

Without Tom’s guidance, tutoring, and mentoring, I could not have ever achieved this level of being a dumbass (96 points on the Dumbass Matrix). Thank you, thank you, thank you Tom. It is an honor to learn, not just from one with skills and knowledge far superior to us mere mortals, but from “Mr. Matrix” himself.
