Does anyone know the part number or source of the replacement mixing valve cartridge for the Grohe shower valve that Marathon uses in their 2003-era coaches? I have very hot water at all the water sources in my bus except the shower so that fixture must be the culprit. Thanks in advance for the help.

Marathon is very good at bundling all of the parts information and tech sheets into a file box from coach build date.

Should be on board your coach.

Pull the cartride, take pictures and call Glen at:

    Plumbing Parts Plus

    7637 W Beloit Rd

    Milwaukee, WI 53219

    414-321-8570

The Grohe lavatory faucets in our Liberty were leaking. I called Glen and asked if he had Grohe parts and he said he did. I told him it was an hour trip one way, he said, “don’t worry, I should have them”. I gave the bad cartridge to him and he had two on the counter in a couple of minutes. If Glen doesn’t have them, I suspect he knows who does.

After replacing mine, I got to wondering why they leaked. Calcium or lime build up? I wondered. Maybe if I would have soaked the old cartridges in Lime-Away or ALC (or whatever its called at the hardware store) or white vinegar I could have “saved them”. You might have the same problem. Just an idea that might only waste your time. No charge.

    Good luck!

TG – I think I have the literature for my 04 maybe the same. On mine, you have to pull the refrigerator to replace the fixture.

Thank you guys. I did not even think to look in all the product literature that came with the coach. It would appear I can pull the cartridge from the shower side and hopefully not replace the entire mixing valve. Maybe this will be as simple as cleaning it. I will let you all know this weekend.
