Marathon Footrest
The attached photo is of the Marathon footrest upfront which the passenger uses. The cylinder is leaking when you retract the cylinder, around where the rod goes in and out. No doubt a gasket of some sort.
Anyone have to replace either the gasket or entire cylinder for this footrest? If cylinder, is it available on the open market or did you have to go thru Marathon?

That sylinder is easily rebuilt. It only requires a couple of orings. Disassemble it and match the orings.

The cylinders are made by the same company that supplies the ones for the flipper windows. I rebuilt those with new O-rings and they work perfectly now.

Please do not be mislead by the advice provided above. Clearly someone has hacked our system and logged in as two good members to give you information we know cannot be true.
There is no repair that can be made on a Prevost conversion for the cost of an O ring. Obviously we have to tighen up the PC security.

A couple hours of my time & three new O-Rings worth $1.60, and it’s working like a charm! Prevost Aux air leak solved (Yes, Marathon tied into the Prevost Aux for their footrest).

Tim, beware, this site lacks high tech security and some times high tech admin staff.
With the amount we pay in dues I am going to put a note in the suggestion box asking for memberships to LifeLoc in case we get hacked agin.
I think one of the admin guys is located in Florida and I think the heat is getting to him and the other is in Tennesse where the smoke from the fires have clouded his brain.
There were a time in past history where these guys would just say buy a new coach to be rid of such nuisances.

We definitely have been hacked. Someone posing as a member is pretending a repair was made for $1.60 in parts. I believe we are now in the orange alert phase.

NOTE: Parts from Ace are much less than Prevost. I think a Prevost O-Ring would be around $100!

See what happens when Buddy spends too much time in Vonore. Dang Tom, I have paid two invoices already if I don’t hurry up and stop bumming electricity and go home I’ll get another one.
I heard Jeff tell Britny the other day that anyone that stays more than two days after their coach is ready to start charging a day rate for parking space, a rate for dump services, a day rate for water and a rate for electricity.
I might need admin to refund my dues so I can pay Jeff for camping here at ETLC
