Marathon electronics resource
Every once in a while in this life you run across someone who leaves you awestruck. Last year and again this year gremlins attacked the electronics on our bus. Things just went crazy. Most stopped working and some worked in crazy fashion. Had some thoughts on cause but that was irrelevant to getting it all squared away.
Ran across Brian Gabel at EDSI somewhere in the internet world so gave him a call out of desperation. One of the best calls I have ever made. This guy is amazing and knows absolutely everything about the electronics on Marathon coaches from about the mid 400s to the mid 800s – and I suspect beyond although my experience is just with our #692 and what I learned from talking to him. He apparently was involved in the electronic design/installation for Marathon at one time. His recall is something to behold and so is his patience. He can tell you exactly where to look, what color you are looking for, and how to fix what needs fixing. Some modules were sent you him for repair and this last time he sent me a laptop computer, over the phone instructed how to hook into the system, and then he took control of the laptop and analyzed/fixed the system. Unbelievable.
Prices seem fair and his wife, Susan, answers the phone most of the time (610-682-9764) and is just as honest and friendly as he is. If you have a Marathon with electrical problems, I highly recommend you make this call first. Never met the guy and have never seen him (no he is not a relative) but can vouch for his work. Great resource if, like me, electronics seem like the inside of a wrist watch. Mike

Brian’s team was Marathon’s integrator for Techlon/TECHLINk.
They have all Marathons prints with part numbers/location/functionality of the coaches that use the TECHLINk system.
Good, honest and knowledgeable team.

Talked to Brain yesterday modual failed dash controls for heat or air condition failed he told me to find modual call him back and he will tell me next step very helpful
