  • Making the Font Bigger

Posted by Bernard on September 20, 2017 at 2:50 pm

Jon offered me free dues for life money-mouth if I explained how to enlarge the text on the site. I can’t pass up that opportunity, so here goes!

If you are having a hard time reading the text with the new update, you can try zooming in with your browser. (This trick also works with some other programs, such as word processors.)

On a Macbook, you should be able to place two fingers on the touch pad and drag them apart, like you would with a smart phone. The other way is to hold control, place two fingers on the touch pad and drag them up.

On a PC, hold control and roll the mouse wheel up/down to change the zoom. If you are on a laptop and don’t have a mouse, depending on the model, there is often a zone on the right side of the touchpad that will be marked for scrolling that you can drag your finger up/down while holding control to do the same thing. The + and – on the numpad will also emulate the roller wheel, but most laptops don’t have a dedicated numpad.

You can also do all of this the long way by going through your browser’s menus.

This will make all websites zoom in because you are setting the zoom of your browser, not just PC.com

    Enjoy! cool

Thanks for reminding me how to resize for reading.
