Looking on AllStays App. Found a KOA in DeForest, WI with full hook up and 50 Amp.

Looks like thats the only thing around.

Check this out. Says 50amp sites. But mentions dump site which suggests to me there are no FHUs.

I would not attempt to dump gray water in Dane county Wisconsin unless you are given something in writing.

Are you looking to stay right in Madison? Or just close by? You might try the Alliant Energy Center (fka the Dane County Coliseum). It hosts concerts and might have some hookups it’s for entertainer coaches they rent out when there isn’t a concert. The Coliseum and fair grounds are part of the Alliant Energy Center complex. I’d be disappointed if they didn’t rent out camping/RV spots like so many state fair grounds do. The Alliant Energy Center is very well located

There are a number of RV dealers in the Madison area. You might try calling them.

    Thanks guys for the suggestions.

i would like to stay near the Med centers and schools but a reasonable drive would be acceptable.

seems the options are limited and what is the reason for lack of dump stations in county parks?

I graduated from the UW in the mid-70s and lived there until 1978. Even then everything was pretty crowded and with the city and suburbs built around the four lakes, there just isn’t room for a campground.

No insight into the dearth of dump stations.

Given where you want to be, focus on the Alliant Energy Center/Dane County Fairgrounds. That is really well located. There might be good city bus service to where you want to go.

KOA is your best bet to have 50 amp, dump and water. We have stayed there and they have some decent pull through sites. Easy in and out as well and not too far to get back to Madison.
