Low voltage in Savannah
So I pull into my space and start the air conditioning then the watch dog shuts down the power. Restart in 90 seconds.
I never had a problem in west Palm Beach, ft lauderdale. Outer banks, Mountain Falls.
Check voltage and find line one running 109 volts. Turned of water heater and center AC only twice in 6 days did it trip.
moved to near by site in Tybee Island. Line. Voltage 109. One shut down. Neighbor can run one of his two AC’s.
so the government wants us Togo electric cars.
if everyone in Savannah had a electric car we would be in rolling blackout in the midst of a heat wave
This electric thing hasn’t been thought out .

Very common in the summer, low voltage and summer heat will degrade the use of your A/C’s. Nothing worse than not being able to stay cool and the cause is campground failure to maintain their old wore out power pedestals. Cruisers make it worse due to the high amp usage.

Hey George you got the Hughes BullDog from Hughes now you need the Hughes Autoformer, A couple of years ago we were at ButtonWillow raceway and it was Hot, 105 degrees plus, I was running all 3 roof AC’s and they sounded a little rough and worked OK my volts were 109v leg #1 two AC leg, 112v leg #2 one AC and Aqua Hot electric. Last year we were at Jackson Ca in July and it was 113 degrees and with Autoformer in line, both legs were boosting and Leg #1 was 118v, Leg #2 was 120v, AC’s sounded much smoother and worked way better, It was like a ice chest in the bus. Compressors do not like low volts, Motors in general, Kinda pricey but a lot cheaper then replacing parts.

Art: Does the Hughes Autoformer “boost” the voltage? How did it help you in Jackson?

Yes it boost the voltage up to 10 percent and it also will only boost 1 leg if needed,so if your volts are 109v it will boost to 119v.

I bought one of those after a stay in a FL campground that developed a transformer problem on the main line coming in. Volts were between 99-104 during heat of the day. A/C’s were not happy. Florida Power & Light was a week or so out for replacement.
This spring at another FL campground, line volts were 108-112 or so, plugged in Autoformer and way better.

Just got one of these from a friend how is getting out of RVing due to health. Using it for the first time over the last week. Man is it great, definitely helps the AC’s start easier.
