Well I’ve been parked in a shed on a farm so the solar panel hasn’t seen daylight but I’m plugged into a 50amp plug so it should have charged .. According to the manual. But when I do need a new gen battery I didn’t know they recommended AGM for the gen battery since it sits with the chassis batts and they are not AGM.

The generator battery is with the chassis batteries ?

Marathon uses a independent battery for generator. Not in the gen compartment, but close. There has been issues with the gen battery to far away, thus low starting voltage as the battery ages. In some cases cables have been changed so the generator cranks fast enough to start.

Now you have me thinking. I thought I saw the Gen battery together with the chassis batteries during walk-thru, but I’ll double check. It may be with my Lifeline AGM house batteries, since it’s tied into the same charging system as the house batteries, which is why the low battery light indicator may have re-set since it’s tied into the Inverters. I know it’s not in the Gen Bay …

Mine is opposite the gen behind a removable panel in with the Cruisairs. It’s charged by both the solar panel and inverter charger and has an isolator.
