Last 2 tow vehicles (2013 and 2015) were Ford F150 4×4 Supercrews and easiest thing to get transfer case into neutral. Switch electronic knob on dash back and forth a few times and done. My new 2017 F250 the same way. Bought a smaller/lighter 2017 Lincoln MKX Suv last fall to pull but always have that pickup option if needed. Think all the new vehicles that are towable are easy peasy to set up.

I ended up deciding to hold onto my Silverado until after the first of the year , I’m back in the market again now and wondering if there are any new opinions out there regarding towed vehicles ? Especially interested in opinions on the Chevy 2500

Don’t know about a Chevy 2500. But we tow a 2018 F-150 4×4. Best tow vehicle we have had. Very easy to shift the T-case to neutral and go (no battery disconnect or other issues). I also have my 2011 F-350 set up to tow. I had to order the F-350 with the manual shift on the floor T-case to tow it and set up battery disconnects. Ford fixed that problem with the shift of the fly set up on the new Super Duty trucks. My brother just bought an F-250 Super Duty diesel 4×4 and it is towable four wheels down with the very same process as the F-150.

My automatic F-150 is a cinch to tow.. Engine off key on, shift to neutral, rotate 4 wheel drive knob 5 times, key off and go.

Truck running in neutral, foot on the brake, hold in neutral button for about 5-10 seconds, done!!!

To return T-case into gear:

Start truck, put in neutral with foot on the brake and hit 2 high button, done!

Doesn’t get any easier with no distance or speed limits and no fuses to pull!!
