  • Looking at a new Marathon being built

Posted by AL on August 1, 2014 at 10:58 pm

Spending some time at Marathon Factory I took some photo’s of what happens when a shell arrives at Marathon., they remove the slide and set it along side the bus.

    Here’s a 2014 shell soon to be a 2015 double slide

    Here’s the front slide

    Generator install

Water bay drivers side, tanks, and Marathon air operated drop down door for electric and sewer lines (lower left corner)

Water bay bay passenger side, fresh water pump will be in bay. tanks in background

Another bus under production. Photo taken at entry, slide removed, ceiling build out

    Al,

Thanks for sharing. It is amazing to see these big buses taking shape.

We saw three Liberty’s under construction when went up to the factory to pick out the interior of our unit. I’m glad they know what they are doing as the coaches that we saw were in the wiring stage. When you see these coaches in that stage of building, you can see the amount of labor that is involved.

I don’t think Liberty removes the slides but I could be wrong.

Did you put a deposit on a new one?

Al, did you put your name on that one? Legendary used to do the same thing..remove the front slide. It seems to be a good way to more easily get the interior done.

Good luck in your hunt for a new coach!
