As far as I know and given they are a European product the Gaggenau cooktop is 220VAC. The easiest way to tell is go to your circuit breaker panel and see if the cooktop and dryer have 2 circuit breakers that are physically tied together or double width breakers.

Diane, you need to turn on two side by side breakers. So that suggests it is 240.

Yes there is one switch on each leg so 220V duh !!
Hang with me guys please and thank you !! This is soooo different to the Vantare.

Diane,
We’re here to help and on occasion we are actually going to.
You will see that dual switch arrangment for the outside grille if you have one, and also the washer / dryer.
Also learn what items are on your inverters because unlike your Vantare, when you are off the power pole only those items are going to have power. The rest in your electric panel will require the generator.
I also don’t know if you are set up to run any AC units off inverter.
-
anything that can run off the inverters should have a red bezel around the breaker.

Diane,
Based on how you described what was powered through the inverters on your last coach (everything) you should discover you don’t have to manually load manage the inverters on your Liberty.
The bad news is your AC amp guages on your Liberty are worthless except when you are on inverter power. At least that has been reported by a few Liberty owners.
Remember the learning never ends if you keep changing coaches.

Thanks Jeff That helps a lot. I have lots of things with a red bezel but no a/cs.
Gil,
Yes the learning never ends… I just about knew my inverters pretty well in the Vantare and now it starts all over again.
I hope I will grasp it pretty soon… so far I am loving everything about the Liberty, well… almost everything… the Crestron is a pain as I would love to just have remotes for the TVs instead of that big heavy thing. Thanks guys,

Diane,
You will have no trouble whatsoever learning your power management. Once you learn how much each device adds to the load and you compensate for those items you don’t control such as the aux air compressor, the water pump and the HW heater you intuitively know what loads you can have on at any given time. It ain’t rocket science and it is just different.
-
Sid,
We have 2 ipads in the bus, how do you do that ? Do you mean as well as the Crestron remotes or instead of?
Cheers,

I had a crestron tech reprogram mine to an I-pad. It’s so nice to get rid of that clumsey controll box.It took him about 4 hours to do it. I still have the original controlls in the bay storage just incase I need a back-up. The tech told me not to get rid of them. The I-pad is so much easyer to work with.

If I’m not mistaken, my vintage has the 220v cooktop but the washer/dryer are 115v but not wired through the inverters. I’ve actually considered adding the washer/dryer to inverter loads but I’d want someone who KNOWS what they’re doing (leaving me out) on that job.
