Don or others:
In replacing the armature, I discovered that the screws holding the armature in are all rusted. Finally got one out but one broke in. Looks like all of the armatures are the same so given the age and status of the entire system I am thinking of replacing the manifold and all of the armatures to make repair more possible down the road. Do you happen to know if the mainfold is available from Norgren? I don’t see it on the Norgren site.
I see a Prevost part number 641205 for $366.85 and wonder if it is a Norgren part which I can get less expensively.
Thanks!

this design was great until it aged. I have about given up on stack in steering compartment. Food for thought: you have elect signal. why not replace stack with 5 indivual 12V air sel valves.. Doesn’t replace rest of system bit sure makes it lot less expensive. 12Vair sel valve under 20$ ea. This is a alternative. has same end results. Build simple supply manifold from existing supply line. simple valve either opened or closed same principle. FWIW

Thanks for the idea.
I also answered my own question as I decided to just take it all apart and found the Norgren number on the manifold (back of course).
For future reference, it is Norgren D0043EP5W2 (mine only has D0043E) but I believe this is the actual current number.

My notes show:
Norgren 5 stack-Direct Acting solenoid valve/manifold24v bus complete Norgren 5 stack manifold# D0043EP5W2
$262 https://www.norgren.com/us/en.
The Prevost pt# is 641205

Is your bus a 24v bus?
If it’s not, you’ll need to replace all the coils except #3 with 12v coils, Norgren pt# 54452-02, $25 ea.
Liberty “Classics” and Royales of my vintage are the 12v buses that I know about. There are probably more? -
I think the level low system on Royales is unmodified.
Liberty changes coil voltages because they modify the level low and the Classic is a 12 volt house system that powers their level low modifications.
-
If memory serves me ? A 1997 Royale owner told me their bus was like mine? all 12v level low coils except for #3 which is always 24v.
-
Don, I guess my concern is if a Royale is an unmodified level low, a Royale owner may assume his are 12V, go get a bunch of coils and then find out they really were 24V.
My suggestion to everyone working on their coach is because they read something on the internet it may not be true.
Your advice and information is almost always on target, but I’m not so sure you were given correct information.
