Legacy Coach
Posted by Brett on December 4, 2015 at 11:04 amI know everyone on here says Legacy Coach is a stand up place and the owner is a great guy, but what in the world do you have to do to get them to talk to you..I stad calling the week prior to Halloween, Brandon finally wrote me an email and said he would call me..No call back. I called again and talked to a lady that answered and she siad she would give them a message. Then the next day I received a call from someone else (not Brandon) but he said he was at the races and really couldn’t answer any questions.
I have been trying to reach them for 1.5 months to set up a time for my wife and I to go up there and cannot get them to call back or answer an email.ustrating to new potential bus owners trying to learn and look at them when there aren’t many dealers close enough to drive and look.

If it would help, Here’s Brandons personal cell phone number he uses for business. That way You can by-pass the office. I bought my coach from Hin 2 years ago and it’s frustrating but He really is a one Man show.It will be worth it when you do talk to him. Good luck ,Steve. brandon’s cell 214-538-1966

Same with me Brett, I also tried to buy a 2000 Marathon from them and it was difficult to say the least. Called and called. No call back. I gave up and bought another bus. I also have heard they are good people. Looks like they need a little help. When I was ready to buy, I was ready to buy…………….

Brett,
It was great talking with you earlier. I knew we had communicated via email several times over the past few weeks about a request for a Saturday showing, but I was unaware I missed your call. I want to post my cell number and a couple of general comments for the folks here at PC. My personal cell number is 214-538-1966. I spend much of my day on the phone, or in the shop with customers. If you don’t reach me, please leave a message so I may return your call. Our business hours are 9-5 CST M-F. I take after hours and weekend calls from the many coach owners we have sold over the years, and it’s my pleasure to be available to help at most any time day, or night. In an effort to balance my work life and family life (wife and 3 year old daughter), we are closed on the weekend and the phone line is picked up by VM. We return calls and emails the following Monday. We do meet customers on weekends by appointment, on a limited basis, and are happy to try and accommodate that request. I look forward to seeing you in Dallas soon.
Thanks to everyone for their continued support!
Brandon

Brett, I am close by if you want someone to take a preliminary look or if you would like some more specific pictures of the coach you are interested in. I am no expert but my nose and cell phone camera work well.

Brandon did call me a bit ago and he does seem like a stand up (BUT VERY BUSY) guy. I depend on email alot to help balance everyone’s time and allow for commnication when the moment is free and I sent several his way.I did get one back in October and after talking today We realized he never saw my contact number on the email No harm. understand busy. I suspect we will go up in a couple weeks and meet him and talk about buses. We are very new to looking at these and have actually never stepped foot inside one.we are wanting to look at an XLII and an H3 so we can make sure of space and what we can or can’t live without. My wife needs to see them so she can see if she can live with two slides. If she can’t I don’t need a bus. Or maybe we will look at a Newell.
Thanks for the call Brandon -
I for one have not experienced the communication problems with Brandon and crew. I do know Brandons family time is a priority and I can’t find fault with that. It’s tough running a small business and things fall through the crack from time to time, but I’m sure he is doing his best to be responsive to all requests. If he can turn the phone off for the weekend, more power to him. I know his customers that need help with coach problems receive 24/7 assistance no matter time or day.
Brandon has been responsive here on the forum and I know he takes these complaints very seriously. So going forward, I think you will find Legacy’s response time as good as it gets. If you contact them on Saturday and want to know the tire date codes on a coach they have for sale, you’ll likely not get an answer until Monday.

Brandon does a good job and he is definitely well respected by people that have dealt with him.
I have to respect his desire to set aside non-business hours for his personal life. At one time I was on call 24/7 and it probably is why I have such an aversion to phones. I know the world has changed and everyone feels compelled to answer their phones or read texts no matter what they are doing or who they are with regardless of the time of day, but Brandon doesn’t have the luxury of having others to help with what is likely an endless stream of calls and texts.
I do know he will respond as soon as he can.

Guys, I just spent 25 years in the military.I know all about working 24/7/365.I have missed my fair share of birthdays, holidays, anniversaries..etc. In that 25 years I suspect I was gone from home at least 15, most on a ship in the middle of some ocean, or in another country. I wasn’t bad mouthing Brandon or his work hours. He does what he has to do and I have things I have to do. We talked and all is good.
Thanks

Brett…
Very interesting about being able to handle going down to 2 slides from 4 slides… lifestyle in your coach plays a big part on what makes you comfortable.
We had a Navigator with 4 slides and went down to 2 slides in an H3-45… wasn’t sure I wanted to do that at that time as our grand daughter travelled with us a lot and was always doing stuff all over the place in the bus… however when I went inside an H I was really surprised at how much bigger it felt than the 4 slide coach…. the slides on the Prevost are deeper than the slides were on the Navigator and the 2 slides on the passenger side were like 12″ … hardly worth putting out and not worth the boxed up feeling when a 4 slide coach is on the road. The windows are so large and the space in an H will speak for itself… I would never have a 4 slide plastic coach again. It was like entering into another planet if you have never been in one… we have very comfortably entertained 8 people in our coach for cocktails !!
If you are ever in our neck of the woods we would be happy to show you our coach !I think your wife will be pleasantly surprised and the quality and solid feel will blow her away I believe…there just is NO comparison. The XLII is aso beautiful but it will feel smaller at first than the H will. As far as a Newell goes we have owned two…many years ago and they are a very nice coach… still not in the Prevost league though… when you have 4 slides in most Newells you have to really be careful getting to the bathroom when all the slides are closed… very very cramped… there comes a time to figure out what we can or can’t live with in a coach then the decision will be easier… it was a very easy transition for us…. once I set foot in the H I was in heaven… our current H is our second one and we wouldn’t have anything else right now… we are very happy campers… just wish we could go more !!
Just wanted to share this with you.
Hoping your search will end soon and you will find the perfect coach !
Cheers, Diane

Diane, thank you for the post coming from the leader of the house’s point of view. 🙂 We are still at a state of we don’t know what we don’t know. This is why the first trip to look at busses is critical that the leader of my house is there.I don’t need to spend tons of time discussing systems on this trip. This trip is more to see the differences and see if we can live in a twin slide. I suspect we can, becasue like you stated, our passenger slides are not real deep and I don’t will miss those few inches. What we are really curious about though is the lack of overhead cabinets and interior storage as we will be living in the bus. Again, we don’t know what we don’t know, so this trip will be more of a fact finding trip than anything.
Thanks

Mr. Brett,
We wanted four slides as when we park, we have plenty of room. Honestly, a two slide is just fine too!
In Nashville recently, we met a PC member ‘Mark’ with a 2011 Liberty. He has a two or three slides with one slide in the Salon. Very roomy! The advantage of having one slide in the salon is that your kitchen counter can be larger as it’s not broken up by the passenger side slide.
We don’t cook so the kitchen for us is not a major focus. It’s basically a beverage center! LOL! We like the room for entertaining as we can seat 11 people inside if needed….. 3 on each sofa and three on the J-dinette. And, two more if they want to sit on the two ottomans… so 13 people!
I think you will be amazed at how large a two slide coach is on the inside.
Mark
