Learned something new!
Good Evening,
had 4 new drives installed at Prevost Nashville yesterday and was about half way back to St. Louis when I realized I had a serious lean towards the drivers side. So bad the rear end mud flaps were dragging and I’d never seen the passenger side as high as it was. Called Prevost in Nashville and they were able to Identify the issue. They indicated with age the rubber ends of the level rods rott out and then you have issues. With their advice and approval, I used level low to re level the coach as best I could and drove back to Nashville. They got me right in on second shift and swapped the two ends on both sides. One was completely broke off and one on the Passenger side was about halfway cracked. This item wasn’t even on my radar. It’s a cheap part and fairly easy to replace as soon as you have the fenders off so if you running with my vintage coach or older I suggested getting them replaced or at least travel with a couple. I likely won’t ever have this issue again but thought it might help others.
Prevost was as busy as I have ever seen them. They are running two full shifts and the lot was packed. One of the service writers told me all the entertainers are coming out of moth balls all at the same time.
