  • Leaky duct

Posted by Per on July 8, 2016 at 6:46 pm

I was nosing around in my bedroom Techlink center, and noticed the AC duct had several holes in it. No particular reason for the holes other than old age, but I got some 7″ insulated duct at Home Depot and replaced the holy duct. In the process I took the AC filter out, and lo and behold, it looked like it had never been cleaned. Between taking care of the holes in the duct and a clean filter, the bedroom AC is doing much better! If you have an old Marathon like ours, you may want to check the duct.

I would think that the other filters could need some TLC also

Once I saw the condition of that filter, I cleaned the others as well!

I do mine every 3 months while we’re full timing, all easy access doors to the filters on our H.

    Easy access to ours too…
