Keyless Entry Keypad
Posted by Jamison on September 10, 2015 at 12:36 amKeyless entry keypad recently started acting up, with one of the number buttons not wanting to respond. We had some heavy rain lately, so I suspect some moisture got into the keypad with a replacement needing to be ordered. Does anyone know what model Ford keypad Prevost used on a 2001 H3?

Prevost was the first place i called. However, from them it is a $450 part.
I was hoping someone might know the ford model number for it because i see them on amazon and other sources for less than $100.

Can you take the old one to the local Ford dealer? What about a late model junkyard?
The brain for the keypad on an XL or XLII is under the dash, behind the panel on the right of the stepwell. It might have a model or version number.

On our 99 Liberty they used the 92/95 Ford Taurus/ Sable keyless module F0VB-14B001-AB that will interface with the F2AZ14A626A key pad you see in this auction:

If your keypad looks like that this might be what you are looking for
The 92/93 LIncoln Towncar keypad will work as well, I think, if it looks like this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-OEM-Ford-Part-90-92-Lincoln-Town-Car-Keyless-Entry-Door-Keypad-Emblem-/171711436257?fits=Year%3A1992|Make%3ALincoln&hash=item27facc95e1&vxp=mtr
When I researched it, the 95-2000 Lincoln Continental keypad was a match as well for that module:
Hope that helps. Compare pictures of that you have with the 92-2000 Ford family keypads . Or look for your module, get the part neumber, do a reverse look-up on the module and you get the year of Ford/Lincol/Mercury keypad they would have used that year…… You will not use the plug most likely and will have to splice the wires. Once you take the door cover and handle off, it is easy to replace

The keyboard is just a membrane keypad. Any will work. You have to determine if you have the Ford Explorer version (which Prevost used early-on) or the Lincoln Town Car version, which they later switched to because of failures with the Explorer keypad. The Explorer keypad has slightly slanted keys/numbers, whereas the Lincoln version is completely square buttons and rectangular overall shape.
Hope that helps.
