Kentucky Derby 2016
Posted by Dawn on April 24, 2016 at 2:36 pmWe were just wondering if any PC Member have ever attended the Kentucky Derby in their bus and if so where did you stay? I’m not finding anything but scary tailgating areas that have terrible reputations.
Thoughts, suggestions?

Dawn, when we are in Louisville we stay at the Expo center. Not much on atmosphere but close and secure. Geo.

Geo,
Thanks. Did they have any kind of hook ups? Did you feel like you were safe or secure? Like security patrolling? I have read how crazy it is there. I’m 45 and like to have fun, but I can’t do spring break again. UGG.

45 Dawn, you’re just a puppy, Jon’s twice your age. I think a spring break is in your future.:)

Tom,
I just love how you and Tom dig at each other. One of these days I’m gonna get to hang out with you two. I bet its a laugh a minute. Like the Odd Couple.

Tom’s the odd one.
And right about now he is the one that feels twice your age. He is trying to save money for Nancy’s two slide last coach so he is working like a galley slave doing a move himself.
Note to Tom………..You can hire people to do work.

Sorry Jon,
My post to Tom said his name twice. I meant to say Tom and Jon.

Dawn, if you like to have fun you missed of the the biggest fun parties of Derby, THUNDER OVER LOUISVILLE. It kicks off the Derby two weeks before, this year it was 4/23. It is a 51/2 hr airshow followed by a solid 30 minutes of fireworks. This year there was approximately 1 million people on the shores of Louisville and southern Indiana. Lots of partying, plenty of rvers.Thunder is in its 27th year it is a must see…..
