Depends on the load…Usually voltage regulator….What is the Hertz as it is usually set by adjusting the rpm

Like Jeff said the first thing to check is the RPM on the engine. Most are set up to run 1800 rpm and will produce 60Hz. If it’s running slow it’s probably a governor issue. You can use a cheap non contact tachometer with the marking tape on the crank. If the speed is good look at the voltage regulator. Jeff

Further, if the low voltage condition is only happening with heavy electrical loads it could be an engine performance issue. If the engine sounds fine and has the same low voltage regardless of load its more likely to be control related and not engine performance.

I’m in Deer Park until Sunday morning and have Saturday afternoon free. Email me if you want some troubleshooting help.

Glad you got it figured out!
We would have had a party though if you needed help. Rudy Legett emailed me and also offered to help if you needed assistance. I was going to ask if you could bring your bus to our shop in Deer Park and then call a young guy I’m training. Then the three of us could stand around discussing Jon’s flip phone and Truk’s dumping experience while this bright energetic young guy did all the work.
