I’ve heard the same story, maybe the same video. Obviously a nice guy.

Yes, they own a 1992 Marathon 40 footer. Several times now he has hosted the Marathon Coach Club event at the Supreme Court building.

That’s really something guys, I had no idea Justice Thomas was an RV-er much less a Prevost owner… I’ve been well aware of his great judicial prowess. But who knew of the brilliance in his selection of a Prevost conversion with an 8V92.

    Truly inspirational,

    Harry

PS: hey Jim, As far as you know does Justice Thomas still have his bus?

It is great fun knowing we share an interest in coaches with prominent people, but I also believe we should respect their privacy.

That includes posting photos of other people’s coaches unless they are OK with doing that. That is just my opinion and maybe others don’t mind being discussed or having their travels posted, but with everything from our cars to our phones to our TVs spying on us and tracking our purchases and travels it would be nice knowing our web site isn’t doing the same without our knowledge or participation.

Hi Jon, I guess I’m a little surprised by your post about not posting bus pictures. Since I’ve been on the forum I’ve seen that done a number of times and have done it a few times myself. I’ve always enjoyed seeing the different coaches. I certainly get your point about posting a bus with the owners name without their permission. But as I said, I sure enjoy seeing what folks drive and what we see while traveling.

If you don’t want it done, as the head Kahoona, I for one will not do it. And I’d certainly not post a photo of a bus of a famous person. That IMHO would not be right! And I also agree with you on the lack of privacy today! But I only used your card twice Jon…

You have to put yourself in the shoes of others. Can you say full bay of dues money?

Don’t understand not being able to post bus pictures or information about my bus.

90% of members that post comments have a picture of there bus as an avatar on every message.

Justice Thomas was the stand out Marathon rally event hosting the formal black tie evening cocktail party plus sit down dinner in the Supreme Court Bldg. in Washington DC. several years ago, maybe 2013. Meet and greet at door with Justice Thomas and wife Virginia. Speech after dinner what about ?…. trips he takes on his Marathon bus.

Prevost furnished two (2) passenger buses for transport from RV park. Both were fully loaded (52 each). Rally was a sold out event.

Memory event in the Prevost Marathon family.

I offered my opinion and it is only my opinion and is not and never has been a policy of PC.

But I can state for all to know that if pictures of a rally include my bus that is not a specific post about me or my coach I have no problem., But I would never want someone to take a picture of my coach in an RV park somewhere to post a picture of it and ask whose bus that was on a given date at a specific location. That to me is an invasion of my privacy and is rude and intrusive.

I completely agree with that Jon… I was guilty of posting a bus picture and asked if anyone knew The owner? You said the same thing back then and I haven’t asked for the owners name again. I think we can easily extend at least a modicum Of privacy. If an owner wants to add their name to a bus it’s up to them!

Harry I wouldn’t care if anybody posted my pic. Then again I ain’t running from the Law. That being said, just left Brownwood Tx. and in the RV Park had a gent in a brand new Allegro Pusher ask question’s about our old coach and wanted to look inside. Sat down with Him and he asked a million questions, most about handling and wind shear passing other large vehicles. His apparently does the watusi when wind blasted.

    PS,

I thought I was gonna have an uneventful trip with nothing to work on and no joy. Valve/regulator system on belt tensioner is a slightly leaking air out dump. Always something.

Hi Glens, A couple thoughts sprang from your post.

1st you have an old bus Glens… Who would drive something that old?

2nd (and I’m sure Jon will climb all over me for this disclosure). Come on Glens, it’s pretty well know you’ve been in the Witness Protection Program for years!

Dang it Harry. Busted again. Might have to paint the coach. And grow a beard.

Glen: Did the guy ask what a Prevost of your vintage costs to buy, own, and operate? When I see someone with a brand new sticks and staples M/H (especially a larger one) … I think that for the money they paid for it they could have bought a well maintained Prevost and have had 3x or 4x the motorhome that would last them a long time and not kill them on depreciation over time.
