  • Just a big thank you

Posted by Gerard on September 29, 2014 at 3:07 pm

I wanted to take a moment to say how glad I was that I chose to come and participate with your rally while in our fair state. I have learned so much from each of you I had the pleasure of meeting and visiting with.

A big thanks to Jerry for not only sponsoring the Friday Night BBQ at your hanger, but also for arrainging our Vault Tour at the Museum.

To Jeff, you providing the Pizza Party was above and beyond, and I feel certain we will be meeting for some work on my coach once it is found.

To PC group for providing beverages each and everytime there was a get together.

A thanks also goes out to Di, Nancy and Diane for taking the time to not only show me your coaches, but to explain the reasoning behind your purchase…back stories always have merrit.

To Ben Cummings, how can I thank you enough for not only presenting your beautiful Parliament coach, but for explaining how the systems are set up and the thought that went into their design.

The wealth of information about everything Prevost was continued from this web site to in person by none other than Jon and Tom….to be able to graciously and without (much) bias, be able to give insight into the workings of most of the converters goes beyond thanks….but Thanks.

It seems as though I was adopted by George and Corey (but actually I sort of forced myself on them). How wonderful it was to know that whenever I arrived back at camp, I was always welcome and expected to pull up a chair at their site. Your insight into the background of so many service providers, salesmen and converters will be extremely benificial. Your hospitality goes beyond words.

I do believe I accomplished what I set out to do…that was to first and foremost meet some of the most amazing people who share the same intrest and are willing to share their knowledge with others…secondly, to see first hand an array of coaches that represent some of the best out there, which will help in narrowing the field for me. With that being said, I still am of the belief that a non-slide xlii is what will be best suited. While I will keep an open mind, I retain the hope of finding the perfect Liberty. One thing I do know for sure, is that whatever coach I finally settle on….there are a whole host of friends willing to help, guide, and spend my money..lol

    Truly…..THANKS

    Ditto what Gerard Said.

As first time Prevost Rally attendees Lauren and I had a great time… we got to meet a ton of great people and really enjoyed talking bus stories with lots of PC legends.

Jerry’s Hanger BBQ and the dinner at the Cowboy museum and vault tour were definately highlights.

It was great to match up screen names with faces and buses and get to know many of you. Only wished we had more time to visit further with everyone…

Lauren and Di tied for third on the chilli contest and we put that Love’s Fuel card to use on the way back to St. Louis this morning.

So we hope to see you all at the next one…. We own a lot at Hilton Head Motor Coach Resort and would love to host a No Rally Rally there sometime perhaps this summer if there is interest….

Great Job to Boateral and Mary Ellen, Jon and Di and Tom and Nancy….

What a great group of people!

Hilton Head is great because it is a nice resort, but there is no way we would all have a chance to be near one another. I love the place because bike riding in the park and around Hilton Head is superb, but just be aware of the difficulty of being near one another.

New Orleans? Nashville? Memphis? Branson? Orange Beach? Kerrville? College Park, MD? Sevierville TN?

I see no down side to me parking on the opposite end of the park from Jon.

    Jon

Depending on the number of people interested we should be able to reserve as many as we can in a single loop… I think we could be as close as we were in OKC. I think that have done rallies this year with 50 – 60 coaches… but you are correct they wouldn’t be all on one street…

Other than the potential we all would be separated I like Hilton Head RV resort. It is a short bike ride to the beach and I’ll bet there are plenty of things in the area to do.

New Orleans is fun for a few days at a time and the French Quarter RV Resort is nice but we would need to book it early !!!

OKC was heaps of fun for us , we thoroughly enjoyed it and meeting new folks and sharing stories etc.

Jerry’s party was “over the top” as usual, thanks so much !! The museum was awesome too I had NO idea it would be that nice. Had a blast.

Al… the Chili cook-off was great, I think you have started something new there… thanks to all the participants too !! well organized and lots of fun… so much fun to just come together like that.

Also many thanks to Jeff of East Tennessee Luxury Coach for the Pizza supper, it too was great !!

To everyone that took the time to come… many thanks to you too… it’s the crowd that makes these things fun… and last but NOT least Jon and Tom did their usual thing behind the scenes here on PC to make sure it went off the way it was meant to.

    Safe travels to you all.

    Cheers,

    Diane & Larry
