Jon’s first Coach
We keep reading about Jon’s first coach and I was lucky enough to run across a photo of it.
Note his flip-phone! Also note the artificial plant to the left of the taller boy. And the brickwork on the front fender.
Quite a rig Jon, no wonder you were so proud of that first coach.

I knew you liked those 24″ wheels, sorry they didn’t have Alcoa’s back then, hell lucky they had tires by then !!!!!

Underneath that stunning exterior you will find the usual Liberty quality. It has all the features of new coaches today, although the systems do not use as many computers.
Later models coninued to use OTR, Cruiseairs, and all the other Liberty features.
Eat your heart out. At the time that photo was made CC was still trying to make the transition from horse drawn to gas powered. In fact it was because the CC coaches of the time were horse drawn that the plastic shield was developed to protect the occupants from the horse exhaust.

I like the way the chimney matches the brick design on the fenders… even a fireplace… wow !!

I believe that chimney is for the Wabasto exhaust.

To protect the front of my bus from chipped paint and stone dings I would rather drive backwards than be seen with a plastic shield.
However, after seeing the photo of my first bus I have concluded perhaps a nicely finished faux mahogany front protection shield would be a nice addition befitting the quality level of my coach. It would look like one of the floors Jeff is installing and would be rated for heavy duty so it would be impervious to chips and dents..
I might be on to something.
