Jeff’s ’96 Vogue 45′ XLV
The ’96 Vogue at Jeff’s is for sale again (I believe a previous potential owner has dropped out). The price is $75 which seems to be an amazing deal. If I remember correctly, Jon said that this was a good coach at the $85 price tag but we had just started looking and have spent a lot of time “trying” to get up to speed and we were not ready to make any offers at that time. We now feel much more informed at what we are looking for and need. So we have a couple of questions:
1. Is it a decent coach that will require minor maintenance for a few years? My gut feeling is that Jeff is well respected and would not sell a coach that has defects that he knows about. We understand that issues can come up with any old coach that is beyond the sellers control but if any of YOU know anything that we should take into consideration before looking at this one, please let us know. It does not mean we walk away from it but we can at least make provisions for upcoming expenses.
2. We know that the interior needs to be updated, but again, listening to the PC gurus, we can live with it for awhile till we know what we want to change. What would be a price range for the interior update?

If I were the one interested in the coach and the fact that it’s at Jeff’s place now I would pay him to do a PDI on the coach for you…. that would give you an idea of what the future holds for the coach and you will be well prepared and you couldn’t get a better person to do it for you than Jeff.
As far as the interior goes…prices vary by the desires of your heart … but as Jon said in another post it’s always a good idea to use the coach and find out what is important to you…. Many upgrades are very reasonable to like faucets towell holders… cooktop..TVs..etc.. bigger expenses will be…refrigerator..floors.. walls…upholstery and window coverings but they can all be done a little at a time too.
Just my 10 cents worth.

The coach is not perfect. It has a lot of minor cosmetic issues that some TLC and relatively few dollars will take care of.
But it has a new price and it may be sold. Talk to Jeff. In view of the current price it is my opinion it is the lowest Series 60 price on the market, and the fact it is mechanically sound means someone is going to end up owning it for a great price.
Having said that it has a lot of new or nearly new components such as batteries, but it does need tires. It does not have the leans which speaks volumes about an issue that most of us encounter.
It needs a deep cleaning and does have what appears to be some minor repairs needed above and beyond the cosmetic stuff.
