Granvil, you sure yours isn’t already a microwave/convection oven ?

Any of the newer microwaves is probably better than our standard bus micro/convection deal and going to 1100 instead of 850 wats seems the way to go. The convection works well, but is really noisy and takes forever to cool down. I would just go for something that fits, has the right color and will do both micro and convection.
By the way, why do you care, Kim will handle it!:)

she’s the one who told me to go ask the question….ours is a convection micro but it really cooks unevenly and if you stand too close you get blisters on your face

One of the items we will be asking Jeff at East Tenn Lux Coach to do for us is to remove the current Sharp microwave/convection oven and replace it with a GE Advantium. We have an Advantium in the house and absolutely love it.
Once you have the “Speed Cook” function you will be spoiled.

An alternative includes the Bosch OTR microwave / convection series. Just installed Bosch 800 series (8052, replacing original Sharp combination) in our coach.

I looked at the Bosch, but preferred some of the GE features….given our cooking skills we need every advantage….now I need to start a thread on induction cooktops ..

We got a regular GE Microwave/Convection and LOVE it. We cook and bake a lot, and had this microwave/convection at home. I can bake two cookie sheets of cookies in it, and for baking anything, it takes just about the same amount of time as a “regular” oven. Microwave features work well, too. We purchased it on sale at Sears, brought it to Signature, and it was installed in no time. 🙂
