Funny story, along that line. A neighbor of ours at ORI bought herself a new 36′ Tiffin, she had a 30′ Winnibego previous. She was a little nervous about backing in to her lot, she shouldn’t have worried, she had at least 5 type A personalities there to (help) her back it in.Finally she looked at me a said “Dan, would you back it in? I have too much help.”

I have pissed off more than one “helpful” RV park worker who felt he was the only one capable of getting a coach in the right spot.

I first ask politely if they would step onto the site and point at the exact spot they want my bumper, or drive tires or my electrical connection. When they refuse and insist I just have to follow their guidance I politely advise them I am not going to look at them or follow their pointing or hand signals. Usually that gets them pissed, and the smart ones just get out of the way and allow me to make a fool of myself. But are those who still go through the motions which I just ignore.

It is a certainty they are used to folks who just cannot drive and likely are not only helping the driver, but want to protect their RV park equipment, including picnic tables, power outlets and even above ground sewer pipes.
