Is this a U12 or 134 Connection fitting?
A doctor friend of mine, an ear, eye, nose, throat and wallet man, was impressed that my bus has OTR. He then saw the U12 label and said “Has it been converted”? The first thing that seemed to get his attention was the blue cover. He unscrewed it and said “That’s a 134 connector”! Is he right?

It’s R12 if unconverted and if it’s converted it’s R134 and yes mine has the same quick connects on it for the freon hoses. Under the black caps are the king valve stems for opening and closing system. Have a ready to go Compressor if somebody needs one. Carrier O5G-Bus 41CFM.

It is a R134a fitting.
R12 fittings are like the fittings on the CruiseAirs.

Harry mine had this type of quick disconnect from the get go. You can go to NAPA and get you a manifold and hoses that will work on both with adapters, cruisairs and carrier.

Hi guys, I’m still confused? The sticker says R-12 yet apparently the fitting indicates R-134. One thing I do know is these two coolants are NOT interchangeable! How do I figure out the right coolant to use for the OTR? Note the R-12 label.

Got a sticker (R12) on mine also Harry. Is it working? I’d call guy you bought it off of and ask if oil has been changed. Different oil for 134. I have but haven’t installed expansion valves for 134 and mine has run for years with 12 valves. Bought um just haven’t installed them.
