Is there an air system quick disconnect?
Posted by Craig on August 29, 2021 at 12:11 pmWe’re operating a 2008 H3-45. Does anyone know if this chassis has a compressed air quick disconnect. I’d like to inflate tires using bus air.

It would of been installed by Outlaw in the DS front run box under your seat. It should be a female quick connect.
If it’s not there you would have to hunt or they didn’t install one.

Craig, it might be faster to buy one of the round air compressors you can buy at Lowes or Home Depot.
Reason being, most buss compressors or aux compressors are set to shut off at 125 lbs +/- and most of the buss tires require 90 +/- in drive and tag and 110 +/- in the drives.
These figures are just averages and each coach has different values but I was never able to inflate my tires to the needed pressure because the aux coach compressor will not put out the volume to inflate the tires.
It can be done just takes a long time unless you have made preparations for more pressure or volume.

invest in an air doubler from smc. well worth it. it trades volume for pressure and will easily double 100-120 psi input pressures. be careful, as most air hose is rated for 175 psi. the smc has a regulator that allows you to regulate the output pressure. should be a bus air pressure fitting in the drivers compartment under the drivers seat.
