Invert-er Loads/Life
Posted by Jim on June 16, 2019 at 2:32 pmSince I am full time, and Number 1 Inverter runs higher loads, would it be cost effective to “swap ” the inverters ,to keep from “wearing out ” one before the other? Or am I being overly cautious?

I know almost nothing about inverters except they have two functions. The primary is to take power from a battery and step it up via a transformer to the higher voltage of household current, and through the magic of electric convert it from direct current to alternating current to power devices that need alternating current.
When it has incoming alternating current, 120V AC specifically it sends that power through a relay to the circuits it inverts when that 120V AC power is not available and it uses some of that incoming power to charge or maintain a charge on the batteries.
You do not say if the imbalance of loads on your inverters is when you have shore power or are using battery power, but I think the key to inverter life is to first try to make them work equally. Second to make sure they are cool. That means occasionally remove collected dust and lint and always verify the internal fan as well as any external fans are working. Finally, minimize switching functions under load. When a switch is opened or closed when there is no load life is good, but if you change sources, like connect or disconnect from shore power with electrical loads still on then as the switch or relay contacts open or close there is an electrical arc and over time that damages the contacts and ultimately causes the device being switched to fail.
This is a personal choice, but so far has served me well. I will never ever run an air conditioner through an inverter. The heavier the loads on an inverter the greater the heat and heat is the enemy. If I need to run house AC units I am either going to be on shore power or I will start my generator. I don’t care if my coach is set up to run down the road running roof airs or Cruiseairs on an inverter. I am not going to do it.

Always on shore except when exercising the Gen. I forgot the power “passes thru”.

I found that in my normal usage that I preferred 2 A/C’s that were both on 1 leg of my panel. I simply switched one of them with an A/C on the other leg to help balance the load. You might check to see what is using power on the more heavily used side and see if there is a possible swap to help balance load. This will help with your shore and genny draws.
