Thanks for all the ideas and suggestions. I’ll need to do some detective work to find the parasitic loads but in the end it may just be both my battery banks are on their way out. I’m sure they have been fully discharged many times while the bus was for sale. I’ll hold off replacing them until I find a storage place with shorepower. I don’t want to deeply discharge new batteries. Until then I can either park it at home (HOA frowns on that, tough to hide a 45′ bus) or at a secure parking lot without power.

Gerald, I think a good path to follow with respect to our coaches is to correct any problems, and then if we don’t like something make improvements or changes. The problem with fixing a problem by masking it such as adding a battery charger, or putting in bigger air bags to deal with excess axle weights instead of reducing the weight is akin to taking an aspirin for a brain tumor. The real problem remains hidden and can ultimately result in a very serious situation.

I think you are right in that the batteries may be giving up, but maybe there is something draining them. Either way you want to know.

I would say the batteries the DDEC draws only iin ma 25 ma for 24 volt systems that would be 00025 in amps they only draw 400 ma running that is less than a 1/2 amp fwiw
