Interesting place we took the coach to
This past weekend we were invited to bring one of our race cars (Dick Trickle’s #5 Schneider National BGN Chevy) to the Northeastern Wisconsin Motorama in support of the Dick Trickle Memorial Project fund raising. Dick drove in the NASCAR Busch series with Schneider National sponsorship during the 1998, 1999, and 2000 seasons. Green Bay is the home Schneider National. The Motorama was held in the Brown County Veterans Area and adjacent Shopko Hall.
I took the car up to GRB early Thursday morning with the Suburban for the show move-in, dropped the trailer in the Lambeau Field parking lot and we returned with the coach on Friday afternoon in time for the start of the show.
The car doesn’t run very well, unpredictable … doesn’t start well. Its still a show car as it was used by Schneider and then donated to the Ashwaubenon PD’s DARE program which I acquired the car from. So it tends to get pushed and I wasn’t looking forward to pushing it from its show location in the far corner of the hall to the parking lot.
We waited until the hall was almost empty (about 90 minutes or so), drive the coach and trailer in, made a big circle, loaded the car, and headed for home.
