OK , let me ask this question, I would really like a speedometer with not only the mileage, but a resettable mileage gauge or Trip gauge…anyone know of such a thing. Also, how hard to change a speedometer out, of course it would be nice to be able to set the new unit to accumulated mileage from the old one. Just wondering

Rodger,
Early XL coaches seemed to have unreliable speedometers so Prevost offers a direct replacement that has an LCD odometer with a trip odometer feature. The only problem is unless the lights are on it is almost impossible to see the odometer.
Having said that I believe Peter S replaced his and he fashioned a signal generator to run the miles display to what miles his coach had. I think he said it took a long time to get the speedometer to show the mileage. I have replaced two so far and rather than change the miles I just made a log book entry.

Thanks, Jon, I figured that a log book entry or some sort of record should certainly be placed somewhere

I also kept the removed speedo with the bus and passed on to the next owner with hopes that they would do the same as the coach changes hands. Logbook entry with the actual speedo removed and paperwork for the new one is the best approach.

Thanks BoaterAl, Our pyro gauge is ok. What we need is the probe that screws into the manifold. ,it has a yellow and red wires to transmit manifold temps at the dash gauge.
