Inspect Your Series 60 Turbo / CAC Piping
Another pre-trip inspection find on my Series 60 14L…
Noticed a section of charge air cooler return piping appeared to be resting on my engine valve cover and discovered a bracket on the piping had cracked. Required a flashlight and mirror to determine the problem.
Good find at home as opposed to on the road, AND before the pipe had rubbed through!
Removed, cleaned, re-welded, re-painted and will re-install today. Will also install new turbo boots and clamps.
